چکیده

Abstract We report a correlation between the presence of Gaia-Sausage-Enceladus (GSE) analogue and dark matter halo spin in artemis simulations Milky Way-like galaxies. The haloes which contain large population accreted stars on highly radial orbits (like GSE) have lower average than their counterparts with more isotropic stellar velocity distributions. median modified parameters λ′ differ by factor ∼1.7 at present-day, similar value when far from virial equilibrium are removed. also show that make up smaller proportion populations containing GSE analogue, stripped satellites masses typically ∼4 times smaller. Our findings suggest higher DM without GSE-like feature is due to mergers mass ∼1010M⊙, do not result prominent radially anisotropic features like GSE.

Galactic dark matter halo made of spin-zero bosons

Scalar Field Dark Matter models, in which the dark matter particle is a spin-0 boson, are becoming a serious alternative to the Cold Dark Matter paradigm. In the present work, we have constructed gravitational-bounded configurations made of massive spin zero bosons that can be used as models for galactic dark matter halos. These configurations are constructed in the context of Einstein’s Genera...

Weighing the Dark Matter Halo

The dark matter problem will be solved only when all of the dark matter is accounted for. Although wimps may be discovered in direct detection experiments soon, we will not know what fraction of the dark matter halo they compose until we measure their local density. In this talk, I will offer a novel method to determine the mass of a wimp from direct detection experiments alone using kinematica...

Limits on Stellar Objects as the Dark Matter of Our Halo: Nonbaryonic Dark Matter Seems to Be Required

The nature of the dark matter in the Halo of our Galaxy remains a mystery. Arguments are presented that the dark matter does not consist of ordinary stellar or substellar objects, i.e., the dark matter is not made of faint stars, brown dwarfs, white dwarfs, or neutron stars. In fact, faint stars and brown dwarfs constitute no more than a few percent of the mass of our Galaxy, and stellar remnan...

A Universal Profile of the Dark Matter Halo and the Two-point Correlation Function

We have investigated the relation between the two-point spatial correlation function and the density profile of the dark matter halo in the strongly non-linear regime. It is well known that when the density fluctuation grows into dark matter halo whose density profile is ρ ∝ r−ǫ( 2 < ǫ < 3) on almost all mass scales, the two-point spatial correlation function obeys a power law with the power in...
